That's gross. Try paying rent on Net & see what's left for food
Step 1 was a very clearly stated “we have to accept that some workers are going to die but we have to keep working.” Pretty much in those exact words. Step 2 certainly appears to be “hey where did all the workers go?”https://twitter.com/daveanthony/status/1450803750096932867 …
It turns out, all we had to do to get rid of the most toxic cops was make them get a shot.
We spend nearly $20 billion every year in oil & gas subsidies, and $720 billion (and rising) every year on the defense budget. How then is $350 billion per year to help working Americans get by, and to save our planet, too much? It's less than 2% of our GDP.
Fossil fuel companies get $20 billion a year in subsidies to destroy our planet. Why would we cave and spend less than the bare minimum on climate? Has the reality of 115° summers not set in?
So glad to live in WA state, where drop boxes for my ballot are convenient & free!

Make Manchin and Sinema vote against it every day. Address the nation every night, and explain that the bill failed again today, but we're putting it up again tomorrow, because affordable drug prices is in there, and that's not negotiable.
One in every 36 Black adults in Wisconsin is in prison, a new report says — a rate that is the highest in the nation and more than twice as high as the national average. https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/2021/10/18/1-36-black-adults-wisconsin-prison-highest-nation/8454959002/ … via
Notice the gentle and obfuscating language that is deployed to describe the sins of dead generals and public officials. Mass murder, displacement and destabilization become "rough moments" or "bad decisions" or even "collateral damage."
"We wanted to get something done, but Joe Manchin won't let us, but vote for us anyway." Democrats in the Senate are going to get a shellacking in 2022 & 2024 if they think they are going to out organize the gerrymandering they won't fix messaging how they can't govern.https://twitter.com/voxdotcom/status/1450084651628908545 …
The real battle is not between science and religion. It's between science and religion one side and people who get their information from FB on the other.
